Regular Dakkanaut | Short question and to the point: Did Relic declare any winners to the ever popular DoW strategy games? Of specific interest to me is the events of Soulstorm, but now that i come to think of it - it would be rather interesting to see who came out ahead in each game/expansion.

Sinewy Scourge | I don't know if the company ever stated who came out on top, though there have been poles on which is your favorite. Most people hated Soulstorm because it had a certain... 'rushed' feeling about it, and felt bogged down by too many different armies. Personally I loved Soulstorm. I thought it was the best of the games BECAUSE it had so many armies. It was no worse than the others, the campaign just wasn't any different. Which, again, suited me just fine... Plus DE are my favorite army and I was happy to see them brought to life and given voice.
You can't spell 'slaughter' without 'laughter'. By the time they scream... It's too late. DQ:70+S+++G++M+B+I+Pw40k94#-D+A++/areWD106R++T(R)DM+ Check my P&M blarg! - Ke'lshan Tau Fire Caste Contingent: Astartes Hunters

Pulsating Possessed Chaos Marine | The end of Dark Crusade is relatively clear, as Thule in DoW 2 and Chaos Rising often refers to events that happens in the later parts of the campaign (He saw Eliphas being killed by a Daemon Prince). The only reference about soulstorm we get in DoW 2 is a small conversation between Thaddeus and Cyrus (Who took part in the Kaurava-Campaign), which only clearified that whoever has won Soulstorm it was NOT the Blood Ravens (Metal Boxes!).

Wise Ethereal with Bodyguard | My problem with Soulstorm is that there was no benefit for taking and holding territory. At least in Dark Crusade you got to keep your base when defending.

Terminator with Assault Cannon |
Yes that was the biggest flaw of soulstorm! It made defending territory extremely tedious. I DREADED having to go back and rebuild bases every time.

Pyro Pilot of a Triach Stalker | As far as dawn of war 2 goes, cannon as far as I am aware, is the Blood Ravens successfully defend against the Tyranids in DOW2 In chaos rising the Force Commander in question slays Ulkair, however must go on a penance crusade for his actions. And I'm willing to bet in Retribution, the Sphess Mahrines under captain Diomedes are victorious. (otherwise, I'd want Chaos to win under Eliphas, because he was a BAMF)

Not proven though. It CAN be argued that the Imperial Guard won Winter Assault. What we know for sure is that Order won Winter Assault. You never see Taldeer die (after all, of positions are reversed, Sturnn survives) and it is completely possible that she escaped by causing the destruction of the Defense Wall allowing the Orks/Chaos to assault the Titan. This would explain why the Imperial Guard are chasing her in Dark Crusade. There are even a few hints in DC that makes it sound like the IG won. Again it can be argued, im not saying that the IG did win and the Eldar lost for sure, just saying not sure on what happened. The rest is confimed though. SM won DC, SM lost Soulstorm Avitus is the traitor SM ending in retribution is canon

Imperial Agent Provocateur | The times I've looked in to this, the most common consensus regarding Soulstorm is a IG victory. Its never utterly conclusive and without holes, and the extent of the victory claimed runs from Vance Stubbs looking like the next coming of Solar Macharius, to a wobbling, hollow victory. Inconclusive commentary leading to this belief includes: -There are a few unsubstantiated (as far as I can find) allegations that Iron Lore declared the IG ending cannon. -That the Blood Ravens salvaged anything from it at all is more in line with an IG victory. The other factions being less kind to survivors. -The conflict being called a 'mistake' doesn't square well with a Xenos/Chaos victory, from a doctrine standpoint. It fits better with and IG/SoB victory, thought it also works with an Eldar victory. My theory: The Imperial Guard win, but the ending presented as a shining victory is a result of Imperial propaganda. While the system does begin to produce solid regiments, the premise of a recruiting system is a screen to explain the constant presence of large military force- a force required due to Karuva III being 'off limits' (even mentioned in the IG ending). Karuva III is, in actuality, under quarantine by the Ordos Xenos, due to the Necron presence. In addition, it is believed that the Eldar maintain their vigil over the world, making it doubly perilous for the Imperium to attempt anything on this planet. Since it is largely barren anyway, and an exterminatus would raise questions, and perhaps even cause more harm than good, it remains off limits. In addition to this, the invasive presence of the Webway throughout the system means that the Dark Eldar remain a constant, shadowy threat. Gorgutz also made good his escape, and though the Orks were soundly beaten in their mountain stronghold, they infest nearby systems and space, pirates, ferals... the threat of the wily warboss rearing is head again is ever present. I like this theory because it doesn't 'conclude' the setting. It leaves the door open for future conflict. When other factions win, it tends to basically finish the area as we know it, one way or another.

Screaming Shining Spear | From what I have seen, read, heard, etc. I cannot confirm any of this though. Imperial Guard won winter assault (blood ravens omnibus supports this ending) Blood Ravens won dark crusade (hinted by DOW 2 namely) IG won soulstorm (no idea where the definitive proof for this is) DOW 2 chaos rising was won by blood ravens. DOW 2 retribution is won by blood ravens (again, no idea where definitive proof is).
